A New Step in Global Petro Tech Kish’s Cooperation with the NISOC : Second Drilling Rig Commences Operations

Global Petro Tech Kish Company, continuing the expansion of its operational activities in the country’s drilling industry, has successfully deployed the second drilling rig under contract with the National Iranian South Oilfields Company (NISOC) at its operational location and commenced operations.

According to Global Petro Tech Kish Public Relations, this action was carried out within the framework of the contractual commitments between Global Petro Tech Kish and the National Iranian South Oilfields Company and reflects the continued development of cooperation between the two companies in providing drilling services and supporting upstream oil industry operations.

Under the terms of the signed contract, the supply, equipping, commissioning, and operation of two onshore drilling rigs were included in the company’s scope of work. The first rig (G3) had previously entered the operational cycle after completing the required technical and operational stages. The second drilling rig (G1) has now officially commenced operations after following the completion of technical processes, including equipping, preparation, transportation, installation, and deployment at the operational location.

With the commencement of operations by the second rig, the project’s execution capacity has increased, enabling drilling operations to proceed simultaneously across multiple work fronts. This will play an important role in accelerating the development and operational programs of the National Iranian South Oilfields Company.

As part of its operational mission, this drilling rig will continue to provide drilling services in the North Marun Oilfield. The Marun Oilfield, as one of the country’s most important oilfields, holds a significant position in the oil industry’s production and development programs. Conducting drilling operations in this field requires the use of standard equipment, experienced personnel, and continuous operational support.
