Rig Operations Managers of Global Petro Tech Kish : G1 Rig Returns to the Operational Fleet After a Decade

Saleh Mohammadizad, Rig Operations Manager of Global Petro Tech Kish Company, announced the simultaneous operation of three drilling rigs across three different operational areas, describing this achievement as a demonstration of the company’s strong capacity to execute multiple projects simultaneously and the capabilities of its technical and operational teams.

According to him, the G1 drilling rig, which had been out of operation for more than 10 years, has been refurbished and modernized through the efforts and dedication of the company’s specialized personnel and has now rejoined Global Petro Tech Kish’s operational fleet. The rig is currently providing drilling services at the Changuleh Oilfield in the Mehran region, where drilling of its first well is nearing completion. According to the schedule, drilling of the second well will commence next month.

Mohammadizad described the recommissioning of the rig as an important milestone for the company, adding: “The reactivation of the G1 rig has significantly increased the company’s operational capacity and stands as a symbol of self-reliance and our ability to utilize domestic resources.”

Referring to the company’s other active drilling rigs, he stated that the G2 rig has recently completed drilling operations at Well No. 4 of the West Paydar Project and is currently being relocated to Well No. 29 of the same project. The rig has been relocated six times over the past year, demonstrating the high level of agility of the technical and logistics teams in responding promptly to the client’s requirements.

Mohammadizad also reported the continued operation of the G3 rig in the Daghagheleh area of Ahvaz, stating:

“This rig is currently carrying out coring operations under the supervision of the National Iranian South Oilfields Company (NISOC), and based on the current progress, the operations are expected to be completed ahead of schedule.”

In conclusion, Mohammadizad expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the company’s personnel and stated: “Our recent achievements are the result of the strategic vision of the company’s senior management and the tireless efforts of our specialized personnel across all departments.
