Global Petro Tech Kish Imports Fourth-Generation G4 Onshore Drilling Rig

Twenty years after the introduction of it's first onshore drilling rig into the country, Global Petro Tech Kish Company, by acquiring the fourth-generation G4 drilling rig, marking a major step toward modernizing the country’s onshore drilling fleet to enhance and sustain oil and gas production.

According to the Public Relations Department of Global Petro Tech Kish, this advanced rig utilizes smart technologies and a digital control system, contributing to improved safety, faster operations, and reduced drilling costs.

Thanks to its Self-Erecting design and digital control system, the rig is capable of intelligent management of drilling operations. Furthermore, through the use of AC electric motors and a VFD power generation and distribution system, the rig not only improves operational efficiency and reduces Non-Productive Time (NPT), but also significantly reduces the time and costs associated with rig relocation, repair, and maintenance. Faster and safer rig moves are also among the key advantages of this drilling rig.

With the arrival of the G4 rig, Iran will possess one of the most advanced onshore drilling rigs in the region, capable of being deployed across various oil and gas projects with a high level of speed, safety, and efficiency.
